This question is often asked by prospective students. The answer is that at Warner Music School of Lewisburg our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals. We do not treat every student the same in terms of what or how we teach. A seven year old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs that a sixty seven year old taking up piano for the 2nd time, after having had lessons as a child. The main reason to choose Warner Music School of Lewisburg as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual. If you enroll here for lessons we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. Before you even begin, at enrollment, you will be asked to fill out a form detailing some key things about you (or your child), including personality questions and musical preferences. This will be given to your teacher before your first lesson, then at your lesson the teacher will go over it again to ensure they have a strong sense of what you are hoping to achieve and wish to learn. Our goal is to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you, or your child, have. Music is an art, and our goal is not to create copies of our teachers, but to help our students find their own artistic style. Sign up today by calling 304.645.3353 or email email@example.com.

Ok, but our family is so busy! Can we make this work?
At Warner Music School of Lewisburg we definitely have a new-school approach to practice.
We have everyone from busy professional adults to small children as students. We understand that not everyone can dedicate hours per day, or even per week, to practicing. We NEVER force practice, or shame a student for not having done so. Adults are busy. Children are, too. We also ask parents to remember that when learning a new instrument, their students can't just sit down and "play for fun" yet. It is all learning at first, with a lot of hard work put in. Just as adults are susceptible to burn-out when forced into doing something daily when they already have a full schedule, children are even more so. We have never heard a grown up say "I'm so glad I quit my music lessons as a child!" Sadly, we do hear over and over "I so wish I had continued, but I hated being forced to practice and gave it up." We would rather a student play once or twice a week for their entire lives, then every day for a few months and then never touch an instrument again. We understand that parents are sensitive to what may be perceived as "wasting money", however, we ask you to consider that learning an instrument is a lifelong process and journey, not something that can be achieved in any set amount of time. The only true way to waste money on lessons is to quit, as the odds of the student ever playing again are slim.
But what about practice? What if we don't Have time each week?
Please note that while we don't FORCE practice, we have multiple rewards systems to ENCOURAGE practice!
We have weekly rewards for our younger students that track practice through stamps and stickers on their personal prize chart. Once the chart is full our kids love fishing through our treasure box for their prize!
We also have our WMS Rank system for our adult and child students. This keeps track of your progress in a tangible way and rewards are handed out at our quarterly WMS Family Dinner! Students love to see their name move up in the charts and show off their new reward to their friends.
how will we motivate our student if you don't force practice?
